My dear friend, Kenady, and her sweet family are moving. To Germany. Sad panda. In the meantime, they were loyal (South Carolina) Gamecock fans and attended several games over the course of the season and since they are unable to use the seats this year....my friend, Lindsay, offered to buy them instead.
So of course I had to buy the above hat....because I'm 12. And I've decided I'm only going to pose with kissy lips or open mouth/surprised face because I'm over my smile.
The stadium is ENORMOUS!!! And so cool. And ENORMOUS!!! And really beautiful. And, duh, ENORMOUS!!!!
Kik and Lindsay. See what I mean about the smile? Too gummy. But Lindsay and I HAD A BLAST!!!! The game started off with their fantastic band, an invocation and then the team ran out on the field!!!!! I was screaming and clapping, freaking out like a crazy person!!
The game was a bit....messy. But guess what, GAMECOCKS WON!!! And a win is a win so we'll take it....six hours and lots of screaming later we were on our way home, in some crazy (NY style) traffic to Lindsay's college friend's home. (Thanks Suzanne!!) I could have relived the game for a few more hours but we were so icky/sticky from sweating earlier in the day (it was one thousand degrees and on and off rain-y =100% humidity. ICK!) that we showered and went right to bed!!
UGH, there is that gummy smile again!!! I can't stop it because when I'm so excited/happy/overwhelmed I can't back it down!!!
